This
righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who
believe. There is no difference for all have
sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by his
grace through redemption that came by Christ Jesus. – Romans

Dear Friends, The old saying
goes that spring showers bring May flowers and pollen and weeds and shrubs
that need to be cut back and grass that has to be mowed and endless trips to
Lowes for garden supplies and etc. etc. etc.
Seems to me that the same attitude gets expressed about summer, fall
and winter. Of course the tasks vary
but somehow the attitude doesn’t. Why
is it that so often we view the changes of this world with
disgruntlement? We are always inclined
to see the negative in what’s beautiful?
I’ve been thinking about that for a while now and I’m inclined to
think the reason is because we don’t see God the creator in his
creation. I was watching a child the
other day who was entralled over a dandelion and as he blew on it I could see
the excitement in his face as it drifted through the air. For me, it’s just another weed but for that
child it’s an amazing wonder of nature.
Imagine what our days would be like if we had that same sense of
wonder and excitement over what God has given us to enjoy! I don’t know for certain, but something
tells me our attitudes sure would change.
Maybe, just maybe, seeing God everyday in creation would change our
thoughts about the world and our work and our families and clean water and
breathable air and our neighbors, and ourselves and etc. etc. etc. See you in
church. Peace, Tim |
